What do I have to provide to be a member of The Private Developers Buying Group (PDBG)?
Membership is gained through the payment of £50 + VAT or £33.33 + VAT if no voucher required,
following payment, log in and enter your property portfolio which has to include more than two properties that you own or manage. Once two or more properties added to your Profile, you will have access to over 32,000 prices on line. We are transparent and easy to access.
How do I pay the membership fee to join The Private Developers Buying Group (PDBG)?
Membership fees are via PayPal, this ensures your payment is secure. Use the dropdown menu to select which membership works for you.
Can I pay my membership by BACS?
Yes, BACS is an acceptable method, to do this please email firstname.lastname@example.org so an invoice can be raised.
How long does it take to get my membership card?
Once payment has been received and your property portfolio loaded, then your membership card will normally be dispatched by 1st class post.
How will membership to The Private Developers Buying Group (PDBG) benefit me?
Membership will give you transparent access to a database of nearly 32,000 products that are available nationally through an on-line search engine. The agreed Contract Prices will be available for you to build up a quote, print and either take to your nearest supplier, or use to phone through an order and guarantee the lower prices.
How do I pay for the products and get The Private Developers Buying Group’s (PDBG) prices?
All accounts have been set up as a ‘Cash’ account, this means that you can pay over the counter with Cash or Credit Card. You will be required to show your membership card and this must be in date. No membership card, Once you have your membership card and the suppler account number, you will be able to contact your preferred supplier, quote your membership number, the account number off the quote and pay over the phone.
Alternatively, you can open a 30-day credit agreement with the supplier, the *name*s terms will be overlaid on your account so always get the best rates.
Why do I have to upload my property portfolio as part of application?
As stated in the Terms and Conditions, your property portfolio has to be uploaded to support manufacturer warranties. Materials purchased via The Private Developers Buying Group (PDBG) shall only be used on the Landlords properties and not be purchased for others. Boiler Warranties will be linked to the members property, if not fitted in a member’s property the warranty will not be honoured by the manufacturer due to the preferential prices given to Private landlords and Developers.
Do I have the right to cancel my membership to The Private Developers Buying Group (PDBG)?
Yes, by law you have the right to a 14-day cooling off period where you can cancel your membership where your membership card has not been used. You shall cut your membership card up and return by post to The buying Group. Following receipt of the card at The Buying Group, a full refund will be made following a 60-day (2 calendar months) verification period to check that the membership card has not been used.
I have forgotten my password, what do I do?
You can easily change your password by clicking the "Reset Password" password link on the login page.
How do I change my password?
Once you are logged in, simply click the "My Details" link in the account menu. From here, you can change your password.
I have lost my membership card, what do I do?
Email explaining that you have lost your card and upon payment of £15 + VAT a replacement card will be issued.
Can I have more membership cards?
Yes, members can request additional cards for their employees as long as they are used on the properties contained within the portfolio. The card will be linked to your membership number. Additional cards are £15 + VAT and will be dispatched 1st class recorded post normally within 24 hours of payment.
How long does membership last for?
Membership is annual via the PayPal subscription service. 2nd year membership is £40.00 including Vat
How many properties do I need to be a member?
If you have two or more properties and officially classed as a Landlord, you can be a member. The minimum number of properties is two, there is no upper limit.
Can I access The Private Developers Buying Group rates even though I have an account with one of the The Private Developers Buying Groups suppliers?
Yes, we can overlay the The Private Developers Buying Group’s terms on your account, this way you get the volume rates and retain your 30-day credit with the supplier.

I am a regular buyer of materials; can I open a credit account with a supplier?
Yes, if you email with the supplier of choice, we will send you an adapted supplier credit agreement. Return the Agreement to the Buying Group and if the supplier approves the application, you will be able to access The Private Developers Buying Group’s Contract prices on credit.
The website looks good but I can't see any prices, so how do I know I will make savings as you indicate?
As the The Private Developers Buying Group prices are lower than trade, our prices cannot be displayed, this is to protect our volume deals that we have secured direct from the manufacturers. However, if you email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org, we would be happy to give you a couple of examples of our prices, or, let us know what products you require and we will provide you with an outline quote, this shall be sent in confidence.
I have a large property portfolio, is there an easy way to upload my properties?
We would be happy to upload you property portfolio, whether this is 3 properties or 300 properties. email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org with an email containing a list, or a word document or an excel spreadsheet and we will endeavour to get these loaded within 24 working hours.
What Boiler Makes available through The Buying Group?
The Buying Group are supported by Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal, Keston and Intergas. other makes are available. Worcester Bosch, Vaillant and Ideal boilers come with a 5 year warranty when the serial number and installation address is provided. Ideal has a flexible warranty up to 10 years, this is reflected in the price, Intergas 7 years.
Where can I buy my Plumbing and Heating products from?
Members can use any (PTS) Plumbing Trade Supplies or CPS (City Plumbing Supplies) in the country to buy / order materials. Quote your membership number and the account number as shown on the online quote and PTS or CPS will deliver to your door. No need to negotiate prices, we have done this for you.
Where can I buy electrical products from and get The Buying Groups discounts?
Yesss electrical are the preferred supplier of electrical materials, online there are approx. 500 products ranging from cable to lamps. For projects such as Fire Alarms or LED lighting, email email@example.com for a quotation to ensure you get the best price.
Can I buy white goods and cooking appliances through The Buying Group?
Yes, The Buying Group has negotiated great deals for white goods with three suppliers to ensure that the members always get the best prices and service. Prices available upon request, email your requirements to firstname.lastname@example.org
Which Kitchen manufacturer does The Buying Group use?
The Buying Group has partnered with Rixonway Kitchens to supply the Buying Group Members quality kitchens.
All kitchens are supplied as the members specification, they can be ridged built or flat pack with soft close hinges and drawers at extremely competitive prices.
For larger projects with multiple kitchens or new build we recommend Rixonway.
